I needed this trade bad, and it gives me exactly what I need. A shift in talent from my smalls to my bigs, and an overall evening of my team. Bynum is older than Wall, but bigs always trump smalls, and he's had a more storied career. Chandler is a living corpse compared to Ohl, but he helps me out significantly this year and gets rid of the bad contract. Sene, Ariza, and Sanders are defensive specialists that can hel sparingly here and there. I never planned on using Dandridge or Newlin this season, and I don't think they're going to pan out. In any case, this trade is exactly what I needed, it was some long and hard dealing, but we got it done. Thanks New Orleans.

Talent-wise Seattle probably loses, trading a great young PG and then some solid, young pieces for an older Center and some old, declining, not-so-talented role players.
However, Seattle needed a big man in the worst way and Andrew Bynum was incredible last year. They're solid enough at PG without Wall, anyway.
For New Orleans it's really a no-brainer, although they'll need some frontcourt help.
Both got what they wanted/needed, so I'll call it even.
